Sri Rama Raksha Stotram
By Sage Budha Kaushika · 38 Verses · Ancient
Also known as: Ram Raksha Stotra · Rama Raksha Stotra अन्य नाम: Ram Raksha Stotra · Rama Raksha Stotra
The Sri Rama Raksha Stotram is a powerful protective hymn revealed by Lord Shiva himself to the sage Budha Kaushika in a dream. Upon waking at dawn, the sage faithfully transcribed every verse exactly as Shiva had spoken it. Structured as a divine armor (Vajrapanjara Kavacham), the stotram invokes the presence of Lord Rama upon every part of the devotee's body, shielding them from all harm. It is traditionally found in the Brahmanda Purana and is one of the most widely recited protective prayers in the Hindu tradition, especially on Ram Navami and during times of difficulty.
