अङ्गं हरेः पुलकभूषणमाश्रयन्ती भृङ्गाङ्गनेव मुकुलाभरणं तमालम्। अङ्गीकृताखिलविभूतिरपाङ्गलीला माङ्गल्यदास्तु मम मङ्गलदेवतायाः॥

angam hareh pulakabhushanamasrayanti bhringangane-va mukulabharanam tamalam angikritakhila-vibhutir-apangalila mangalyadastu mama mangaladevataayah

Like a female bee drawn irresistibly to the unopened buds of the dark tamala tree, Goddess Lakshmi takes shelter upon the body of Lord Hari, whose very hairs stand on end as ornaments of divine ecstasy. May the playful sidelong glance of this Goddess of all auspiciousness, who has embraced within herself the splendor of all creation, bestow blessings upon me.

मुग्धा मुहुर्विदधती वदने मुरारेः प्रेमत्रपाप्रणिहितानि गतागतानि। माला दृशोर्मधुकरीव महोत्पले या सा मे श्रियं दिशतु सागरसम्भवायाः॥

mugdha muhurvidadhati vadane muraareh prematrapaa-pranihitani gatagatani mala drishor-madhukariva mahotpale ya sa me sriyam disatu sagarasambhavaayah

Again and again, her shy and enchanted glances, propelled by love yet restrained by modesty, come and go upon the face of Murari, like a garland of honey bees hovering around a great blue lotus. May those glances of her who was born from the ocean bestow wealth and grace upon me.

विश्वामरेन्द्रपदविभ्रमदानदक्षम् आनन्दहेतुरधिकं मुरविद्विषोऽपि। ईषन्निषीदतु मयि क्षणमीक्षणार्धम् इन्दीवरोदरसहोदरमिन्दिरायाः॥

visvaamarendrapada-vibhramadaanadaksham anandahetur-adhikam muravidvisho-pi ishannnishidatu mayi kshanam-ikshanardham indivarodara-sahodaram-indiraayah

Her half-glance alone is capable of bestowing the exalted throne of Indra, king of all the celestials, and creates even greater delight for Vishnu, the slayer of the demon Mura. May even a fraction of a momentary glance from the eyes of Indira, dark and luminous as the heart of a blue lotus, come to rest gently upon me.

आमीलिताक्षमधिगम्य मुदा मुकुन्दम् आनन्दकन्दमनिमेषमनङ्गतन्त्रम्। आकेकरस्थितकनीनिकपक्ष्मनेत्रं भूत्यै भवेन्मम भुजङ्गशयाङ्गनायाः॥

amilita-aksham-adhigamya muda mukundam anandakandam-animesham-anangatantram akekara-sthita-kaninika-pakshma-netram bhutyai bhaven-mama bhujangasayanganayah

Approaching Mukunda, the root of all bliss, who sits with eyes gently closed, unblinking, absorbed in the spell of divine love, she gazes upon him with eyelids half-lowered and pupils trembling with tender longing. May this exquisite glance of the beloved of Him who reclines upon the great serpent bring prosperity to me.

बाह्वन्तरे मधुजितः श्रितकौस्तुभे या हारावलीव हरिनीलमयी विभाति। कामप्रदा भगवतोऽपि कटाक्षमाला कल्याणमावहतु मे कमलालयायाः॥

bahvantare madhujitah sritakaustubhe ya haravaliva harinila-mayi vibhati kaamaprada bhagavato-pi katakshamala kalyanam-avahatu me kamalalayaayah

Upon the broad chest of Vishnu, the conqueror of Madhu, near the radiant Kaustubha gem, the garland of her sidelong glances shimmers like a necklace of blue sapphires. These glances, which fulfill the desires of even the Lord himself, may this garland of grace from She who dwells in the lotus bring all that is auspicious to me.

कालाम्बुदालिललितोरसि कैटभारेः धाराधरे स्फुरति या तडिदङ्गनेव। मातुः समस्तजगतां महनीयमूर्तिः भद्राणि मे दिशतु भार्गवनन्दनायाः॥

kalaambudali-lalitorasi kaitabhaareh dharaadhare sphurati ya tadidanganeva matuh samasta-jagatam mahaniya-murtih bhadrani me disatu bhargavanandanaayah

Upon the broad, dark chest of the slayer of Kaitabha, magnificent as a bank of rain clouds, she flashes forth like a streak of golden lightning. May this resplendent form of the Mother of all worlds, the beloved daughter of Sage Bhrigu, direct her radiance toward me and bestow all good fortune.

प्राप्तं पदं प्रथमतः खलु यत्प्रभावान् माङ्गल्यभाजि मधुमाथिनि मन्मथेन। मय्यापतेत्तदिह मन्थरमीक्षणार्धम् मन्दालसं च मकरालयकन्यकायाः॥

praaptam padam prathamatah khalu yatprabhaavan mangalyabhaji madhumathini manmathena mayyaapatet-tadiha mantharam-ikshanardham mandalasam cha makaralaya-kanyakaayah

It was solely by her gracious power that Manmatha, the god of love, first gained his exalted position beside the auspicious Madhusudana. May that same languid, slow, half-closed glance of the daughter of the ocean now fall gently upon me.

दद्याद्दयानुपवनो द्रविणाम्बुधाराम् अस्मिन्नकिञ्चनविहङ्गशिशौ विषण्णे। दुष्कर्मघर्ममपनीय चिराय दूरं नारायणप्रणयिनीनयनाम्बुवाहः॥

dadyad-dayanupavano dravinambudhaaram asmin-nakinchana-vihanga-sisau vishanne dushkarma-gharmam-apaniya chiraya duram narayana-pranayini-nayanambuvahah

May the cloud of her glance, the beloved of Narayana, driven by the gentle wind of compassion, pour down a shower of wealth upon this destitute, sorrowful young bird. May it carry away, far and forever, the burning heat of my accumulated misdeeds.

इष्टा विशिष्टमतयोऽपि यया दयार्द्र दृष्ट्या त्रिविष्टपपदं सुलभं लभन्ते। दृष्टिः प्रहृष्टकमलोदरदीप्तिरिष्टां पुष्टिं कृषीष्ट मम पुष्करविष्टरायाः॥

ishta visishta-matayo-pi yaya dayardra drishtya trivishta-papadam sulabham labhante drishtih prahrishta-kamalodara-diptir-ishtam pushtim krishishta mama pushkara-vishtaraayah

By whose compassion-drenched glance even the most exalted sages easily attain the heavenly realm, may that gaze, radiant as the heart of a blossoming lotus, belonging to She who is seated upon the lotus, draw toward me the fulfillment and nourishment I seek.

गीर्देवतेति गरुडध्वजसुन्दरीति शाकम्भरीति शशिशेखरवल्लभेति। सृष्टिस्थितिप्रलयकेलिषु संस्थितायै तस्यै नमस्त्रिभुवनैकगुरोस्तरुण्यै॥

girdevateti garudadhvaja-sundariti sakambhariti sasishekhara-vallabheti srishti-sthiti-pralaya-kelishu samsthitayai tasyai namas-tribhuvanaikaguros-tarunyai

She is Saraswati, the goddess of speech; she is the beautiful consort of Vishnu who bears the Garuda banner; she is Shakambhari, the nourisher; she is the beloved of Shiva who wears the crescent moon. Presiding over the divine play of creation, preservation, and dissolution, I offer my salutations to this eternal Consort of the one Guru of all three worlds.

श्रुत्यै नमोऽस्तु शुभकर्मफलप्रसूत्यै रत्यै नमोऽस्तु रमणीयगुणार्णवायै। शक्त्यै नमोऽस्तु शतपत्रनिकेतनायै पुष्ट्यै नमोऽस्तु पुरुषोत्तमवल्लभायै॥

srutyai namo-stu subhakarma-phala-prasutyai ratyai namo-stu ramaniya-gunaarnavaayai saktyai namo-stu satapatra-niketanaayai pushtyai namo-stu purushottama-vallabhaayai

Salutations to her as Shruti, the living Vedas, the source from which the fruits of all righteous action spring forth. Salutations to her as Rati, the ocean of enchanting virtues and beauty. Salutations to her as Shakti, who makes her dwelling in the hundred-petaled lotus. Salutations to her as Pushti, divine nourishment, the beloved of Purushottama, the Supreme Being.

नमोऽस्तु नालीकनिभाननायै नमोऽस्तु दुग्धोदधिजन्मभूम्यै। नमोऽस्तु सोमामृतसोदरायै नमोऽस्तु नारायणवल्लभायै॥

namo-stu naaliika-nibhaananayai namo-stu dugdhodadhi-janma-bhumyai namo-stu somaamrita-sodaraayai namo-stu narayana-vallabhaayai

Salutations to her whose face is as luminous and lovely as the lotus in full bloom. Salutations to her who was born from the churning of the great ocean of milk. Salutations to the sister of the moon and of amrita, the nectar of immortality. Salutations to the beloved consort of Lord Narayana.

नमोऽस्तु हेमाम्बुजपीठिकायै नमोऽस्तु भूमण्डलनायिकायै। नमोऽस्तु देवादिदयापरायै नमोऽस्तु शार्ङ्गायुधवल्लभायै॥

namo-stu hemaambuja-pithikaayai namo-stu bhumandala-naayikaayai namo-stu devaadi-dayaaparaayai namo-stu sharngaayudha-vallabhaayai

Salutations to her who is enthroned upon a golden lotus. Salutations to her who is the sovereign queen of the entire earth. Salutations to her whose compassion flows first and foremost toward the gods and all beings. Salutations to the beloved of the Lord who wields the great bow Sharnga.

नमोऽस्तु देव्यै भृगुनन्दनायै नमोऽस्तु विष्णोरुरसि स्थितायै। नमोऽस्तु लक्ष्म्यै कमलालयायै नमोऽस्तु दामोदरवल्लभायै॥

namo-stu devyai bhrigunandanaayai namo-stu vishnor-urasi sthitaayai namo-stu lakshmyai kamalaalaayaayai namo-stu damodara-vallabhaayai

Salutations to the divine Goddess, the cherished daughter of Sage Bhrigu. Salutations to her who dwells eternally upon the broad chest of Lord Vishnu. Salutations to Lakshmi, who makes her abode within the sacred lotus. Salutations to the beloved of Damodara.

नमोऽस्तु कान्त्यै कमलेक्षणायै नमोऽस्तु भूत्यै भुवनप्रसूत्यै। नमोऽस्तु देवादिभिरर्चितायै नमोऽस्तु नन्दात्मजवल्लभायै॥

namo-stu kantyai kamalekshanayai namo-stu bhutyai bhuvana-prasutyai namo-stu devadibhir-architaayai namo-stu nandatmaja-vallabhaayai

Salutations to her who is radiance itself, with eyes as beautiful as lotus petals. Salutations to her who is prosperity incarnate and the mother from whom all worlds are born. Salutations to her who is worshipped by the gods and all celestial beings. Salutations to the beloved of Krishna, the son of Nanda.

सम्पत्कराणि सकलेन्द्रियनन्दनानि साम्राज्यदानविभवानि सरोरुहाक्षि। त्वद्वन्दनानि दुरिताहरणोद्यतानि मामेव मातरनिशं कलयन्तु मान्ये॥

sampatkarani sakalendriyanandanani samrajyadana-vibhavani saroruhakshi tvadvandanani duritaharanodyatani maameva maatar-anisam kalayantu manye

O lotus-eyed Mother, your worship brings wealth, delights every sense, and bestows the splendor of sovereignty. Your salutations are ever engaged in removing sin and suffering. O revered one, may these blessings continually pour upon me, your child, without ceasing.

यत्कटाक्षसमुपासनाविधिः सेवकस्य सकलार्थसम्पदः। संतनोति वचनाङ्गमानसैः त्वां मुरारिहृदयेश्वरीं भजे॥

yatkataksha-samupasana-vidhih sevakasya sakalaartha-sampadah santanoti vachananga-manasaih tvaam murari-hridayeshvarim bhaje

The mere practice of worshipping your sidelong glance bestows upon the devotee the fulfillment of every aspiration and all forms of prosperity. Through word, body, and mind, I worship you, O Queen who reigns within the heart of Murari.

सरसिजनिलये सरोजहस्ते धवलतमांशुकगन्धमाल्यशोभे। भगवति हरिवल्लभे मनोज्ञे त्रिभुवनभूतिकरि प्रसीद मह्यम्॥

sarasijanilaye sarojahaste dhavalatamaamsuka-gandhamaalya-sobhe bhagavati harivallabhe manojne tribhuvana-bhutikari prasida mahyam

O Goddess who sits upon the lotus and holds a lotus in her hands, resplendent in garments of purest white, adorned with fragrant garlands and sandalwood, O captivating beloved of Lord Hari, you who bestow prosperity upon all three worlds, be gracious unto me.

दिग्घस्तिभिः कनककुम्भमुखावसृष्ट स्वर्वाहिनीविमलचारुजलप्लुताङ्गीम्। प्रातर्नमामि जगतां जननीमशेष लोकाधिनाथगृहिणीममृताब्धिपुत्रीम्॥

digghastibhih kanakakumbha-mukhavasrishta svarvahini-vimala-charu-jala-plutangim pratar-namami jagataam jananimashesha lokaadhinatha-grihinim-amritabdhi-putrim

I bow at dawn to the Mother of all worlds, whose sacred body is bathed in the pure and beautiful waters of the celestial Ganga, poured forth from golden vessels held by the eight great elephants who guard the directions. She is the mistress of the household of the Lord of all realms, the daughter born from the immortal ocean.

कमले कमलाक्षवल्लभे त्वं करुणापूरतरङ्गितैरपाङ्गैः। अवलोकय मामकिञ्चनानां प्रथमं पात्रमकृत्रिमं दयायाः॥

kamale kamalaksha-vallabhe tvam karunapura-tarangitair-apangaih avalokaya maam-akinchanaanaam prathamam paatram-akritrimam dayaayah

O Lotus Goddess, O beloved of the lotus-eyed Lord, with your sidelong glances overflowing with waves of compassion, look upon me. Among all the destitute, I am the foremost, the most genuine vessel for your mercy.

देवि प्रसीद जगदीश्वरि लोकमातः कल्याणगात्रि कमलेक्षणजीवनाथे। दारिद्र्यभीतिहृदयं शरणागतं मां आलोकय प्रतिदिनं सदयैरपाङ्गैः॥

devi prasida jagadishvari lokamataah kalyanagaatri kamalekshana-jivanathe daridrya-bhiti-hridayam saranaagatam maam alokaya pratidinam sadayair-apangaih

O Goddess, be gracious! O Sovereign of the universe, O Mother of all people, O you whose very form is auspiciousness, O life-companion of the lotus-eyed Lord! My heart trembles with the fear of poverty. I have come to you for refuge. Look upon me each day with your compassionate sidelong glances.

स्तुवन्ति ये स्तुतिभिरमूभिरन्वहं त्रयीमयीं त्रिभुवनमातरं रमाम्। गुणाधिका गुरुतरभाग्यभागिनो भवन्ति ते भुवि बुधभाविताशयाः॥

stuvanti ye stutibhir-amubhir-anvaham trayimayim tribhuvanamataaram ramaam gunadhika gurutara-bhagya-bhagino bhavanti te bhuvi budha-bhavitasayah

Those who day after day offer these hymns of praise to Rama, who is the embodiment of the Vedas and the Mother of all three worlds, become endowed with the noblest virtues and the most abundant fortune. They dwell upon this earth with hearts illumined and honored by the wise.
